t’s that JAZZY time again students. That’s right – It’s JAZZ BAND TIME!!!

For the 2026/27 school season our Jazz Band will rehearse on select Tuesdays from 4:15 to 5:15 at the middle school band room.

Jazz Band is open to 7th and 8th grade students that play the following instruments:

Saxophone (alto, tenor, bari)

Trumpet

Trombone

Drum set (percussion)

Guitar / Bass Guitar *This is not a “teaching guitar” ensemble – students will be expected to have some proficiency on the instrument and audition. 

Please block out the following dates so you can attend all rehearsals.

10/27, 11/17, 12/1, 12/8, 12/15, 1/12, 1/19, 2/2, 2/9, 2/16, 2/23, 4/13, 4/20, 4/27

Middle school jazz band will have the opportunity to perform at middle school spring concert, “Jazzy Dessert Concert”, and perform side-by-side with the high school jazz band and the GLENN MILLER ORCHESTRA.

The Glenn Miller Orchestra concert is February 8th at the High School Auditorium.

The cost for Jazz band is: $100 per student. This covers the cost of instruction, music, and needs for the concerts.
